About KLL Education Advocacy

KLL Education Advocacy was born out of the desire to continue to support families with respect to special education in the Ontario school system. My passion lies in empowering parents to become a well-informed advocate for their child. I am dedicated to providing empathetic, expert guidance for families with children in kindergarten to grade 8 who are navigating the special education system.

Our journey and passion

My dedication to supporting parents through the complexities of special education comes from years of witnessing the often frightening journey of diagnosis, identification, placement, and Individual Education Plan (IEP) development for neuro-diverse students. My personal mandate has always been to support families and students through this critical time in their educational careers, with the hope of setting them up for future success.

What you can expect

When parents work with KLL Education Advocacy, they can expect a supportive and realistic approach. I listen carefully, ask insightful questions, and aim to provide clear, honest answers. My goal is to offer compassion and straightforward guidance on how to best navigate the education system in the interest of your child's learning, social, and emotional needs. You will gain tools and knowledge to advocate effectively for your child.

A unique approach to advocacy

What makes KLL Education Advocacy special is my many years of experience across various schools with a plethora of neuro-diverse students. This allows me to relate to the varied situations families may be experiencing. I am a compassionate listener who has personally navigated the complexities of the education system, including special education. Having chaired IPRC meetings at the board level, I know first-hand how intimidating these meetings can be for parents. I use this knowledge to provide you with a first-hand interpretation of what to expect, making you feel understood and empowered.
